The status text (Available...) don't change until you click on the menu. it happen with every theme out there including the default.

I spent a lot of time tweaking this to work with my themes, with no success.

What gnome-shell version are you using? Sounds like a duplicate of bug 662799 ...

Note that this bug is about the color not changing(keeps the color of the previous theme).

I did not actually test user themes, but style changes should now be properly propagated (they weren't in 3.2.1), so I'll close this bug. Feel free to reopen if you can reproduce with the current development version.
