Starting empathy from messaging indicator makes window disappear

Originally reported at: https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/854666 Since a couple of updates ago, when I start empathy using the messaging indicator, the empathy window appears for a second on my screen and then disappears. I need to click on the message indicator again to display the window. The message indicator is Ubuntu specific and not part of upstream. This bug shouldn't be forwarded here.
