GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 663897
There should be a keyboard shortcut to snap windows
Last modified: 2011-11-12 01:48:51 UTC
I think it would be very useful for "power users" to have a keyboard shortcut to snap windows left and right, right now it seems it can be done only by dragging the window to the left/right edge of the screen. For the record Windows 7 uses Super+left/right arrow for snapping, Super+up arrow to (toggle? I'm not sure) maximize, Super+down arrow to minimize, those keyboard shortcut makes sense to me. I humbly propose <Super> to be reserved as a key used for window managing only.
