GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 663553
Notifications aren't smart enough
Last modified: 2011-11-07 18:56:16 UTC
Hi, I've been copying some files and doing something else, Nautilus showed a 'File conflict' dialog in the background and GNOME Shell notified me with the following: 'File conflict' is ready! Programs should send better signals to the shell, and the shell should display them properly and smartly, not just "x is ready". It should be: "There is a file conflict" or "There is a problem with your operation"...
Yeah, that's a known problem. It would be hard to communicate between the window and the Shell to say something very precise, but at least we shouldn't say "Is ready". Just using the window title would be good. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 623395 ***
