Rhythmbox does not inhibit timed suspend while playing music. I've experienced this in Fedora 15 (GNOME 3.0) and 16 (GNOME 3.2).

This was fixed by commit 3a3d2dd499e59fcaf6a9c7956fd06053fc1b0cb7 on October 14.  When was the git snapshot in your f16 package taken?

Indeed, the fedora package dates back to September 27th, so I guess I need to ask the Fedora folks to update to the latest git version.
