Description sergey.zolotorev 2011-10-23 15:19:57 UTC
GNOME 3.2.1, Arch Linux

When menu bar is not hidden and 'Menu shortcut key' is enabled then F10 opens main menu. When menu bar is not hidden and 'Menu shortcut key' is disabled then F10 opens context menu. When menu bar is hidden and 'Menu shortcut key' is disabled then F10 opens context menu too. So it is not possible to use F10 shortcut properly in terminal applications like mc - it is not possible to exit correctly from mc at all.

BTW, the same bug appears and for some other shortcuts like Shift+F5.

How to reproduce:

Case 1:

1. Run GNOME Terminal (3.2.1)
2. Disable F10 shortcut via 'Edit -> Keyboard Shortcuts'
3. Hide menu bar
4. Press F10 key
=> Context menu displayed

Case 2:

1. Run GNOME Terminal (3.2.1)
2. Enable F10 shortcut via 'Edit -> Keyboard Shortcuts'
3. Hide menu bar
4. Press F10 key
=> Context menu displayed
