Description ivan 2011-10-19 14:33:26 UTC
GIMP crashes when I open as a layer PNG file. GIMP version 2.7.3 x64 from AUR.
Comment 1 Mukund Sivaraman 2011-10-19 15:31:49 UTC
Can't reproduce the bug here. Others too use "open as layers" often. Am inclined to ask reporter to discuss this with the person who made the Arch package, and get _him_/her to file a bug upstream if necessary with supplementary information like backtrace, etc.
Comment 2 Mukund Sivaraman 2011-10-19 15:43:45 UTC
Can you run GIMP from command line, get the plug-in to crash and paste the complete log of what is printed on the console?

Here's video record of my actions: http://video.yandex.ua/users/vanyasmart/view/1/
Comment 5 Michael Schumacher 2011-10-19 17:27:04 UTC
I think that the best workflow for packages from this repository would be to report to their creators, and have them report bugs upstream if necessary.
Comment 6 Michael Natterer 2011-10-19 17:43:34 UTC
This is because 2.7.3 is broken on 64 bit when built against latest glib.
Fixed in master.
