Description ppr 2011-10-06 22:26:38 UTC
The applications in "All" (in the Activities overview) should be sort by popularity. It is not nice to see applications I never use (or a little) in "All" and to have to search (in "sound") for my music player (I know I can had it to the dash).

It's not the same bug. bug 623372 is about the search engine. And Bug 661136 is about what happens when you clic "Application" in the overview (you see applications by alphabetical order and it will be more useful if you see applications you used a lot).
Comment 3 sbabakin 2011-10-09 13:26:13 UTC
I also vote for this enhancement. "Frequent" applications should be shown first. This could be a full applications list or lets say 20 most frequently used apps...

In addition "All" (alphabetical order) should be also available as an applications group.

It would be nice if we can use a View with the "Recent Applications" as default
Applications view.

By the way: Do not drop the other categories like proposed in bug 638271

Thanks for the bug report, ppr. This idea has some merit, but there's a problem with it - the application grid would move around, making it difficult to find a specific application without searching for it.

Closing as not a bug.
