GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 661026
online contacts only shown after re-login
Last modified: 2012-03-09 16:53:27 UTC
I have set up a google account using the online contacts application. The eMails are shown correctly on first Evolution start. Calender is shown on second Evolution start but to let the contact (email not jabber) appear, I had to re-login.
Is this reproducible? This is about version 3.2.0 I assume?
Jup, this is reproducible and it is 3.2.0 on Fedora 16 Beta.
I have noticed this too on current 3.2.0-0ubuntu2. I noticed this restoring a backup with Google contacts set to default/autocomplete. I had to stimulate the "Update" with a search query before it populated any data.
I guess this is bug #660721, could you retest with a fix from it, please?
Marcus, Ian, were you able to test fix mentioned in comment#4 ? It is part of Evolution 3.2.2.
please feel free to reopen the bug in case you can reproduce with latest Evolution version.
I can confirm this patch works as expected. I retested on 3.2.3 (Ubuntu 12.04 B1). Steps I Performed: -Backed-up Evo using built in tool -Disable all Google stuff via GOA Turn off all email, calendar, contacts for all accounts -Purge and Remove Evolution #!/bin/sh rm /home/imac/.config/evolution -rf rm /home/imac/.camel_certs -rf rm /home/imac/.gconf/apps/evolution -rf rm /home/imac/.local/share/evolution -rf rm /home/imac/.cache/evolution -rf gconftool-2 --recursive-unset /apps/evolution -Restored Evo Backup (Prompted on First Load) -Re-enable GOA Accounts -Confirmed calendars available -Enabled default+autocomplete on Google Contacts properties in Evo -Confirmed new email autocompleted addresses immediately
