GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 660515
different address book entries stick together - Ubuntu 11.04
Last modified: 2011-11-11 10:55:52 UTC
When I add contacts to any personal address books (e.g. Italian) they also appear in my other address books (Dutch and German). If I try to delete them from where they should not be they also disappear from the correct address book.
Which Evolution version is this about (Help > About)? What kind of address book is this about (local, LDAP, CouchDB, Google, ...)? What are the exact steps to reproduce?

(In reply to comment #1) > Which Evolution version is this about (Help > About)? > What kind of address book is this about (local, LDAP, CouchDB, Google, ...)? > What are the exact steps to reproduce? 1. Evolution 2.32.2 2. local 3. Steps: - create addressbooks (groups) within local - add individual contacts to any group or copy contacts from local personal to any group - result: except personal all other groups will show all contact entries added to any of the groups - deleting an entry from the group where it doesn't belong in will delete the entry also from the correct group I attached some PNG screenshots FYI.
(In reply to comment #2) > Created an attachment (id=198131) [details] > evolution version used That could have easily been text instead of a screenshot... :-) 2.32.2.
Created attachment 198182 [details] Screenshot from 2.32.3 on Fedora 14 You can see that the upstream design is slightly different, as there are checkboxes for each calendar, so you can combine the contents of several calendars in your display. No idea how or if that works on Ubuntu as they obviously changed the interface. Did you file a bug report in Ubuntu's bugtracker about this behavior?

The bug is about address books, not calendars. Address books have no checkboxes.
I wish Ubuntu guys do use current stable version of evolution :( *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 644107 ***
