Description wzssyqa 2011-09-17 15:32:53 UTC
The network configure tool in control-center has much less functions than
nm-connection-editor in NetworkManager-Gnome package.

Maybe we should add an button to call it.

There's already a button that calls it. It's what the "Options..." button does in the preferences.

And saying it doesn't have as many features isn't very helpful. We already know that it doesn't match, and design is still on-going. See https://live.gnome.org/Design/SystemSettings/Network#Discussion

ooohhhh, great proposal.

Then another problem:

an dead lock:

Image that, I have an ethernet that ask for MAC to autherizate.

I have to input an MAC clone,

but the "Options..." cannot click
before I connect to this network.

Then if cannot click it,
I cannot connect to it.

That's a known bug, see bug 653296.
Comment 4 Tobias Mueller 2012-02-08 09:27:29 UTC
So I guess this is NOTABUG then. Feel free to reopen if this is not the case.
