GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 658819
Can't tune in to last.fm radio station (useraccount from germany, no subscription)
Last modified: 2011-09-12 13:13:18 UTC
It is not possible to listen to the last.fm radio-stations with banshee for users from germany. Reproduce: (you would need an IP-address from germany, UK or US) 1. Enable Banshee's last.fm radio function (options -> add-ons -> Last.fm Radio in category 'Online-Sources') 2. Try to tune in to any station provided Expected Result: a) with IP from Germany, UK or US: Banshee should play the selected radio-station b) with IP from other country Banshee should tell the user, that this service is only available for users from Germany, UK or US or for payed subscriptions Actual Result: Banshee tells that radio can only be played for users with payed subscriptions. I can play the radiostations with the flash-player on last.fm website -> therefor I know that my IP is recognized to be from germany. Thanks for any help on this issue :-)
Unfortunately, while the Flash player still works for people in the countries you mentioned, third party applications such as Banshee are only allowed to stream radio to last.fm's paying subscribers.
