https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/empathy/+bug/835549 doesn't work. Which version of Empathy is that?
It's empathy 3.1.5.1-1ubuntu2 ; the backtrace from that report contains a password that's why it's still private, I've subscribed you to it so you have access to it now. Thanks again!.
XSessions is flooded by this message: (empathy:19038): Gtk-WARNING **: Error loading theme icon 'image-missing' for stock: Error opening file: Too many open files (empathy:19038): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_theming_engine_render_icon_pixbuf: assertion `base_pixbuf != NULL' failed I suspect this may be a side effect of bug #656682 which has been fixed in 2.31.90. Did you get dup of this bug using this version?
in the version 3.1.5.1 ubuntu oneiric, can get the crash with same description.
IIRC we finally fixed this bug only in 3.1.90.
I run empathy from git master (3.1.90.1.20110901) can't get the bug. I think this is solved, and I can confirm the comment 5. Closing the bug, feel free to open the report if the bug is still valid for you.
