i am unable to run any of the audio or video file using totem movie player. on clicking the audio file the error command is prompted stating "gstreamer error: state change failed". Kindly help.

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug.
This bug report isn't very useful because it doesn't describe the bug well. If you have time and can still reproduce the bug, please read http://bugzilla.gnome.org/bug-HOWTO.html and add a more useful description to this bug.

A log would be helpful, if you can run Totem from the command line this way:

GST_DEBUG=4 totem >& /tmp/totem.log

Then try to reproduce the bug, exit totem, and attach the /tmp/totem.log file.
