GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 656656
Addition of a feed on planet.gnome.org
Last modified: 2012-05-04 20:58:11 UTC
Created attachment 193951 [details] hackergotchi http://guij.emont.org/blog/feed/ A few words about me: I am Guillaume Emont, I am a developer (currently working for Igalia), and have been interested in gnome-related things since around 2007. First developing on pigment(in C/GObject, not existing much these days) and elisa/moovida. Nowadays, I am a core developer of Grilo ( https://live.gnome.org/Grilo ) and hack pseudo-regularly with/on GStreamer. I also have a strong interest in other parts of the stack, such as bindings (I am just back from the GObject Introspection hackfest).
Anyone wanting to take a look at this?
Since the report, a new rule was added that one needs to be a member of the gnome foundation to have their blog aggregated on pgo. I am now a foundation member: http://www.gnome.org/news/2012/02/welcome-to-more-new-gnome-foundation-members/ Anyone reading this and willing to make this progress/give some feedback?
ping?
Hello Guillaume, Sorry for the late reply, I've been a crappy maintainer recently ;-) Your blog looks fine, however your hackergotchi needs some work. You can check the hackergotchi guidelines[0] If you want you can attach the original picture from your hackergotchi and I can take care of it. [0] https://live.gnome.org/HackergotchiGuidelines
I'm not sure what I got wrong from the guidelines, anyway, I've corrected some things: - ensure the shadow is not cut stupidly - make my face look a bit less red (even though I think the redder version was accurate for the party where this was taken) - provided different sizes (one that is 250x250 as suggested, one that is of similar size to the other hackergotchis, as suggested as well, which is a bit contradictory). Anyway, I've uploaded various versions: - the original: http://emont.org/hackergotchi/original.jpg - the .xcf with which I've been working: http://emont.org/hackergotchi/hackergotchi.xcf - a 250x250 png: http://emont.org/hackergotchi/hackergotchi-250.png - a 150x150 png: http://emont.org/hackergotchi/hackergotchi-150.png Cheers.
That one is a bit better, the freelay was a bit rough but it's not that noticeable while downscaled. I made the shadow a little less black. Welcome to PGO and I am really sorry about the delay, I've been a crappy maintainer recently.
