GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 65662
When switching tabs while loading a page, the newly loaded page will steal keyboard focus
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
When I have two tabs open and click on a link in one and switch to the other, the tab I switch to has keyboard focus until the page in the other tab is fully loaded. Then suddenly that tab steals the keyboard focus. First I thought that keyboard focus was just lost, but when you switch to the tab with the newly loaded page, you can see that the things you tried to do with the keyboard happened in this tab. Example (of how I discovered it): Open two tabs, both showing http://www.advogato.org. Click on the link Recent Diary Entries and switch to the other tab. Because Recent Diary Entries page is pretty big you can use the keyboard on the other page for some time, until the diary page is fully loaded and receives keyboard focus. My first galeon bug report. How did it go? :)
mozilla steal the focus ... I dunno if we can do anything for it
