GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 656355
Crash when using nvidia seperate x screen's in gnome3
Last modified: 2011-08-11 18:26:31 UTC
A bug search didn't reveal a report of this issue however a google search revealed hundreds of reports on forums and blogs so if this is a duplicate please let me know. Dual Monitor setup works as single or twinview but will crash with message "A problem has occurred and the system can't recover." when using seperate X screens in gnome 3, I have tried nvidia drivers 265 through most current 280.13 release all with the same results. Expected result would be gnome-shell on both monitors like gnome-panel did in gnome 2. Even though dual monitors will work when setup as twinview this is not usable for me in this way because I use remote terminal sessions that will not support the extreme resolution that twinview causes. Please let me know if this needs reported elsewhere or what logs maybe needed to help correct this issue.
