Description Adam Dingle 2011-08-04 12:18:00 UTC
I'm running gnome-system-monitor 3.1.3 on Ubuntu Oneiric.

If I've visited the Processes tab at least once since starting gnome-system-monitor, then Monitor->Quit does nothing, and I have to kill the program using the command line (or using itself!)
Comment 1 Chris Kühl 2011-11-05 23:11:48 UTC
Ah yes, I just experienced this too. Doesn't happen on my Fedora 15 install nor when compiling and running under JHBUILD. Hmm. I'll have to look into this.
Comment 2 Chris Kühl 2011-11-25 11:23:57 UTC
Does this still happen for you, Adam? It magically went away for me.

I'll bisect and find out what fixed it for me when I have a little time.
Comment 3 Robert Roth 2011-11-25 15:25:18 UTC
It's just a wild guess, but it could be related to saving of column sizes, which until recently has happened on exit, and I have changed it to save to gsettings only when the columns have been resized or their visibility changed. Multiple users have reported serious hard drive access on exit, and maybe on your PCs this could block somehow...
Comment 4 Adam Dingle 2011-11-28 19:50:16 UTC
This no longer occurs for me with System Monitor 3.2.1. There's still a slightly annoying 1-to-2-second pause after I choose Monitor->Quit before it actually exits, but I can live with that.

Marked as fixed based on the reporter's last comment.
