Description Pedro Villavicencio 2011-07-07 20:22:58 UTC
this report has been filed here:

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/file-roller/+bug/806205

"To reproduce: Open any deb file that has more than one directory in its root in File Roller, for example "usr" and "DEBIAN". Drag any of them to any target directory in Nautilus.
What happens: Both directories are recursively extracted. If any of them existed previously in the target, they will also get overwritten as per https://bugs.launchpad.net/file-roller/+bug/152303
What was expected: Only the selected directory should be extracted."

bugzilla.gnome.org is being replaced by gitlab.gnome.org. We are closing all old bug reports and feature requests in GNOME Bugzilla which have not seen updates for a long time.

If you still use file-roller and if you still see this bug / want this feature in a currently supported version of GNOME (currently that would be 3.38), then please feel free to report it at https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/file-roller/-/issues/

Thank you for creating this report and we are sorry it could not be implemented (volunteer workforce and time is limited).
