Cant copy text from evince pdf to other windows applications
Last modified: 2018-05-22 14:17:34 UTC
Cant copy text from evince pdf to other windows applications. Strg+c , Strg+v does not work, right click + "Copy" is possible but after right clicking in other applications "Paste" is still greyed out. Also drag and droping text to other applications does not work. Present in Windows builds 2.32 and 2.32.0-144.1. These are the only builds I tried. Thank you for the work on evince

I can confirm that Copy does not work with evince-2.32.0-144.1 on Windows 7 SP1 x64. On the very same machine & os, Copy does work with evince-2.30.3.
I can also confirm that this happens on Windows Vista Ultimate 64bit SP 2, Windows Enterprise SP1 and Windows 7 Enterprise 64bit SP1 and that reverting back also fixes the issue. There is also a duplicate ticket https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=655634
I can confirm this problem too, also on Microsoft Windows XP SP3 32 bits. Using evince 2.32.0.14401 on Microsoft Windows 7 Family Premium SP1 x64, there is the following error text using the console : * opening evince : (evince.exe:XXXX): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_object_unref: assertion `G_IS_OBJ ECT (object)' failed * when trying to copy some text : (evince.exe:XXXX): Gdk-CRITICAL **: gdk_property_change: assertion `window != NULL' failed with XXXX random number (saw 1404, 3160, 4756, 5868, ...), but the SAME in both messages. Hope this helps
