Description Olivier Crête 2011-06-24 19:13:03 UTC
1. My computer doesn't have a built-in 3G chip
2. I get mobile broadband only while bluetooth connected to my N900.

The "Mobile Broadband" killswitch is set to Off, but I'm connected using mobile broadband, this is confusing!

Possible solutions:
1. Put bluetooth based connections in their own section, possibly under the bluetooth icon ?
2. Remove the global broadband switch and put a per-adapter On/Off switch ?
3. Just forcefully turn it On when I connect through bluetooth
4. Cry

GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org.
As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org
which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately
quite limited so not every ticket can get handled).

If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent
and supported software version, then please follow
  https://wiki.gnome.org/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines
and create a new ticket at
  https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-shell/-/issues/

Thank you for your understanding and your help.
