GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 652432
Bottom notification bar visible when using external monitor
Last modified: 2011-06-13 09:17:42 UTC
Created attachment 189809 [details] Screenshot with comments I configured an external monitor to my Laptop. With the display configuration tool I placed the external monitor above my laptop screen and also moved the main top bar to the top screen. Almost everything works as expected and I can move windows from one screen to another. However there are two (in my eyes) bugs: Firstly I can't maximize a window in the lower screen by moving it to the edge, except if I use the part at the right where there is a step between the two resolutions (where I can't move the window up). Of course double clicking the application bar works. Secondly I constantly see the notification bar on the lower screen... Is this on purpose? I'm using Fedora 15, gnome-shell 3.0.2, and standard Gallium 0.4 on NV84 for the nvidia card. The external monitor is connected through DVI. The strange bar can be seen on the attached screenshot.
