Description Sébastien Wilmet 2011-06-09 17:25:28 UTC
Hello,

I'm the main developer of LaTeXila, an Integrated LaTeX Environment for GNOME, written in Vala (GPLv3 license).

The web site and tarballs are hosted on SourceForge:
http://latexila.sourceforge.net/
http://sourceforge.net/projects/latexila/files/

The source code is hosted on GitHub:
http://github.com/swilmet/latexila

The requested repository name: latexila

LaTeXila meets all the project prerequisites:

> The project must be free/open source software.

GPLv3 licence

> It must use GTK+/GNOME technologies.

Yes, written in Vala, use GTK+, GtkSourceView, etc.

> It must be maintained, and already have had at least one public release.

The last stable version (2.0.7) was released on Mar 25, 2011. A beta version (2.1.0) was released on May 6, 2011.

> To the best of your knowledge, it must not infringe on patents

The "text editor" part is similar to Gedit, and the LaTeX features are similar to Kile (but with less features yet).

> If copyright assignment is required, ...

No copyright assignment.

Thanks in advance,
Sébastien

Seems like a nice and fun project.

Please request a Git account using the instructions at https://live.gnome.org/NewAccounts. When requesting the Git account it'll ask you for a voucher module. Make sure to select 'bugzilla.gnome.org' (this will make the request go to me).

After you have the Git account, follow https://live.gnome.org/Git/NewRepository.

Account should work in ~41min.

To add a directory on project.gnome.org, look at the gnomeweb-wml module.

If you have questions, ask in #sysadmin in irc.gnome.org.
