Description Francois Botha 2011-05-15 15:16:56 UTC
One can count operations, hence, in gparted.master.pot:
"Depending on the amount and type of operations this might take a long time."
should be
"Depending on the number and type of operations this might take a long time."

Thank you Francois for suggesting this improvement in wording.

Is there a reference that you can point me to learn more about this proposed change in wording. For instance why "number" is preferred instead of "amount"?

Just Google number vs amount. Here's one of the good hits: http://grammar.about.com/od/words/a/amount.htm

Thank you for the link. I will plan to include this suggestion in a future release of GParted, probably 0.9.0 or so.
