GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 650063
please permit resizing the control-center window (UI issue pic attached)
Last modified: 2011-05-12 20:42:16 UTC
Created attachment 187738 [details] screenshot of keyboard shortcuts capplet UI problems Hi, The new control-center is fixed size. There are several UI issues relating to this. Attached is a pic demonstrating one for the Keyboard capplet, Shortcuts tab. You cannot read the end of the shortcut names, they are replaced by ellipsis because there is not enough room. You cannot change the column width for the scrollable area to reveal the hidden txt, nor the line dividing the list of types ("Launchers", etc.) and the shortcut list. Finally you cannot resize the entire to give the contents more space. Please (re-?)consider letting users resize the window to make space. It's a shame to have the contents all crammed into a fixed-sized window, unable to read the contents, especially on a large display :-) I'm using whatever the default settings are for text/font size and theme in GNOME3.
Ah, just found #649242. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 649242 ***
