GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 649756
play is being counted twice for all tracks.
Last modified: 2011-05-09 20:40:36 UTC
Whenever a track is played using "enter", double-clicking and such, playcount is increased by one. At the end of the song, playcount is increased by one, again. When a song which has zero (0) playcount is double-clicked in order to play it and is listened, it counts as if played twice, playcount becomes two (2). This does not happen, however, when a song is not double-clicked, that is when the next song is automatically played. Tried to attach the banshee.log file but the command listed (kill -s QUIT $(pidof banshee); cp ~/.config/banshee-1/log ~/Desktop/banshee.log) was not helpfuf: kill -s QUIT $(pidof banshee); cp ~/.config/banshee-1/log ~/Desktop/banshee.log kill: uso: kill [-s sigspec | -n signum | -sigspec] pid | jobspec ... or kill -l [sigspec] cp: no se puede crear el fichero regular «/home/carega/Desktop/banshee.log»: No existe el fichero o el directorio If anyone tells me the command i'll be more than glad to submit the log.
This actually sounds like a known issue that should go away if you disable Gapless Playback in Edit > Preferences. I'm marking this as a duplicate of Bug 621222, but if turning off Gapless doesn't fix the problem, feel free to re-open this report. I'm not exactly sure why the command for getting the log didn't work, though. Is your desktop directory set as /home/carega/Desktop, or did you rename it? *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 621222 ***
I updated from 1.8 to 2.0.1 and there is no bug anymore so it's okay. About the command for the log yeah, I'm running ubuntu in spanish so my desktop directory is set as /home/carega/Escritorio. Duh, sorry about that.
(In reply to comment #2) > I updated from 1.8 to 2.0.1 and there is no bug anymore so it's okay. Hmm, that's interesting. Do you still have gapless enabled in 2.0.1? > About the command for the log yeah, I'm running ubuntu in spanish so my desktop > directory is set as /home/carega/Escritorio. Duh, sorry about that. I wondered, since your output in Terminal was in Spanish. I didn't realize that default folder names in Ubuntu were localized (though it makes sense). I think there are plans to translate the Banshee website, so we'll have to make sure we localize the terminal commands as well.
Gapless is enabled in 2.0.1. so, somehow, the bug got fixed. As for the localization of the commands, I think the only default folder name that doesn't change is "home".
