Screenshot demonstrating the invisible selected text.

After selecting a line of text in a pdf document by dragging, when the selection is extended to the lines above the initially selected line, the blue color (i.e. the default highlighting color) overlaps with the text, thereby sort of hiding the text beneath.

This only occurs in cases of multiple line selections just by moving the mouse upwards or downwards after selecting a line of text initially by clicking and dragging.

This behavior, however is rectified (selected text becomes visible) as soon as the pdf window loses focus.

It's a known poppler bug that has been recently fixed. Feel free to reopen this bug if the problem is still present for you with Evince 3.0. Thanks for reporting.

Carlos, actually the bug is still present (although more difficult to reproduce)... I guess we are missing a queue_redraw somewhere...

How could you reproduce it? I have tried several times, different ways, no luck.

This is a poppler bug and it should be fixed. At least can't reproduce anymore in 3.10
