GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 648939
Artist column not searchable via desktop input
Last modified: 2011-04-29 15:02:44 UTC
This report was originally filled at: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/banshee/+bug/772805 This is a wishlist bug, I guess. In most other media players, it's possible to search or scroll through the list of artists. E.g. in Rythmbox you focus the artist column and type [R] and you go down to Radiohead. Then you enter [A] and [G] and you get to Rage Against The Machine. Sadly there's no such behaviour in Banshee. Would it be possible to implement that? I know about the search bar but that's a totally different way.
This feature has actually already been implemented in Banshee, but it requires you to press "?" before you start typing the name, which makes it much less convenient and almost completely undiscoverable. I'm marking this as a duplicate of Bug 608879, which requests getting rid of the "?" requirement. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 608879 ***
