Description Andrew P 2011-04-22 09:26:37 UTC
http://s2.kimag.es/share/29888685.png

I have 2 versions of Abiword, and they both show the same problem. Choosing "Save As" from the file menu takes me to a dialog that prompts for filetype. When I swing the mouse over the drop down, there is a huge space before the first entry called 'automatically detect'.

I have reported this first to AbiWord folks as bug 13054, with following text:
- - - - - - - - - -
I have Fedora 14, and Abiword 2.8.6 iirc and when I do a 'Save As' there is all
this wasted space filling up FileTypes before it gets to the actual filetypes.

I have Abiword 2.6.4 on Elive Topaz (2.0) and it shows the same problem, a lot
of white space before 'Automatically detected' is shown.
- - - - - - - - - -
To which the Abiword team has replied:

"This is GTK issue, and their position is adamant that this whitespace is what
user needs."
- - - - - - - - - -

The huge whitespace forces an unnecessary pageDown right away. Where is it picking up those entries? I'd like to clean that if I could figure where they're coming from. I use Abiword a lot, and on 2 different machines, the behavior can be annoying; I'm sorry.
