GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 648084
Network connected/disconnected notifications stay forever
Last modified: 2011-12-07 13:51:30 UTC
When my network gets disconnected, the notification stay forever in the list on bottom-right of the screen. Clicking the "Network manager" text open a tooltip and I need to click the tooltip to get the notification removed. IMO the notification should not be remembered there, only display when the event happens, but it is useless to keep that info afterwards.
or should at least disappear after network is reconnected
These notifications have been removed in 3.2
I'm still seeing this in gnome 3.2/ubuntu 11.10, at least on resume from suspend (looks like I don't have permissions to reopen bug?).
That's not in the message tray, though - it's one of the center-bottom notifications, and the disconnect message seems to disappear when a connection is made except on resume from suspend. They still don't time out, however, which basically means having to click the message bubble every time the machine is resumed.
