GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 647964
Should support more than one keyboard (or mouse) binding to actions
Last modified: 2018-07-11 11:35:31 UTC
Right now, it's only possible to bind one keyboard shortcut to any given action in gnome-shell. Unfortunately, if a user uses multiple devices (say, a laptop keyboard sometimes, and an external USB keyboard at other times), the set of available keys may change. Consequently, it would be really valuable to have more than one keystroke mapped to an action.
Also applies using the same account with the same preferences on multiple machines with entirely different extended keys.
It should already be supported, but must be manually edited via gsettings/dconf-editor.
