GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 647261
translation context needed
Last modified: 2020-03-17 09:28:39 UTC
#: ../src/Core/Banshee.ThickClient/Banshee.Addins.Gui/AddinView.cs:51 #: ../src/Extensions/Banshee.InternetArchive/Banshee.InternetArchive/HeaderFilters.cs:83 msgid "All"
I've tried adding some comments for translators for both occurrences, and here's what I get in a .po file : #. Translators: "All" refers to extensions, as in "All extensions" #. Translators: "All" refers to the various media collections available #. in the Internet Archive: audio, texts, moving images, etc. #: ../src/Core/Banshee.ThickClient/Banshee.Addins.Gui/AddinView.cs:52 #: ../src/Extensions/Banshee.InternetArchive/Banshee.InternetArchive/HeaderFilters.cs:85 msgid "All" msgstr "Toutes" I'm guessing this is not enough, as you probably need to have 2 different translations for that word. Sadly the library we use (Mono.Posix) doesn't support contexts as described in the gettext manual : http://www.gnu.org/software/hello/manual/gettext/Contexts.html Maybe someone can come up with a different wording for one of the occurrence of "All", to work around the problem.
Yes, thanks, I need 2 diff translations mono sucks :/ dunno
need context for this, how is it used and where? #: ../src/Core/Banshee.Services/Banshee.Query/BansheeQuery.cs:94 msgid "on"
also for this one #: ../src/Core/Banshee.Services/Banshee.Query/BansheeQuery.cs:94 msgid "from"
Now Playing should be in quotes #: ../src/Extensions/Banshee.NowPlaying/Banshee.NowPlaying/NowPlayingSource.cs:60 msgid "Simplify the Now Playing interface by hiding the source list and more"
Banshee is not under active development anymore and had its last code changes more than three years ago. Its codebase has been archived. Closing this report as WONTFIX as part of Bugzilla Housekeeping to reflect reality. Please feel free to reopen this ticket (or rather transfer the project to GNOME Gitlab, as GNOME Bugzilla is being shut down) if anyone takes the responsibility for active development again. See https://gitlab.gnome.org/Infrastructure/Infrastructure/issues/264 for more info.
