Log of error

It appears that Amazon may use a different format for the .amz files that come from the Cloud Player. When I try to import music using one of these files I get this message: "Invalid Amazon MP3 downloader file" and the download progress bar get stuck in the "unknown" state while the label remains on "Contacting..."

I have attached a log file in case it may be useful.

Can you describe more what you're trying to do? I'm not familiar yet w/ the new cloud stuff on Amazon. Is this .amz file delivered to you because you requested to download some of your already-purchased-and-on-your-cloud-drive albums?
Comment 2 Scott Sweeny 2011-03-30 18:47:54 UTC
That's correct. If you click "download" on a file or album in the Cloud storage it sends you a .amz file similar to the process for purchasing and downloading albums from the store. It seems that these .amz files are of a different format that isn't recognized by Banshee.

Can you e-mail me the .amz file in question? The log tells you where it was downloaded to.

I encountered this problem as well. I don't know if it helps at all, but Clamz (https://code.google.com/p/clamz/) can handle the Cloud .amz files if they only contain music files (so far I have only tried mp3 files). It should probably be noted that these new .amz files may be used for non-music files.

The Cloud Player .amz files didn't have an XSPF version attribute, nor do they have proper xspf namespacing. Banshee master is now more forgiving.
