I have defined thunderbird as default mail client in:

System Settings -> System Info -> Default Applications 

But mailto links are still opened in Evolution.

Besides that I wonder why System Info contains any settings dialogs, as Info implies just information no settings.

Hi, that's not actually a bug in gnome shell, but probably in some other component. In any case, can you still reproduce this with gnome 3.6?
