Description Josh Holland 2011-02-22 19:49:43 UTC
When I plug my Android phone in, Banshee does not do anything, and all I see is a Nautilus window popping up. This is despite the presence of a .is_audio_player file on the device. I am using Banshee 1.8.0 from the Ubuntu 10.10 repositories.
Comment 1 Matt Sturgeon 2011-02-22 20:01:52 UTC
Firstly is the same behaviour occurring on banshee 1.9.3 (or 1.9.4 on the 23rd)?

Also could you attach the output of running banshee --debug from the terminal and connecting the device?

First check if there is any difference between 1.8.0, 1.8.1, and.1.9.x, and then attach output logs.

Oddly, in testing, it seems to pick up the device if I run it from the command line (with or without --debug) but won't if I run it via alt-f2 or the gnome-shell launcher. Not really sure what's going on there...

Can you please give me the infos requested in this post[1] so that I can add your device to media-player-info (which will help Banshee and other media players recognize it)?

Thanks

I'm afraid I no longer have the phone in question, so I can't provide the required information. Hopefully someone else can.
