Description Simon Wenner 2011-02-13 20:52:55 UTC
Please port gtkglext to gtk+-3.
Comment 1 Jean Bréfort 2011-04-15 12:02:00 UTC
Looks like this needs a complete rewrite. all the gdkgoext API is broken with GDK-3 since it is not anymore possible to derive an object class from GdkWindow.

Hello Braden,

I see that you're assigned to this bug report. So is it possible to answer to this question on the GtkGLExt mailing-list: What about GTK+-3.0 support? ( http://mail.gnome.org/archives/gtkglext-list/2011-June/msg00000.html )

Thank you.
Comment 3 Andres Gomez 2013-11-01 15:15:42 UTC
It looks like a port is ongoing in:
git://github.com/tdz/gtkglext.git

https://mail.gnome.org/archives/gtkglext-list/2013-July/msg00000.html

But not in GNOME's git repository. Shouldn't the changes be merged?
Comment 4 Emmanuele Bassi (:ebassi) 2014-11-09 22:12:56 UTC
GTK+ 3.16 will have OpenGL support out of the box, so I think GtkGLExt should just be retired.
