GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 637631
cannot change ratings with --set-rating option
Last modified: 2010-12-20 09:30:43 UTC
I get the following output when trying to set ratings: http://pastebin.com/P2gDLHHp
I can't reproduce this. --set-rating=RATING Set the currently played track's rating (0 to 5) 1) play track in banshee 2) during 1 run banshee-1 --set-rating=2 gives the desired result, namely the currently playing song is rated at 2 stars. You could be experiencing a problem due to a broken ndesk-dbus, especially if you are using e.g the docky development ppa, the ndesk-dbus packages in there are known to be buggy. Are you using non-standard ndesk-dbus packages or attempting to set rating without having a currently playing track when setting the rating?
You need to upgrade NDesk.DBus, see bug 541279. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 541279 ***
