Description Mårten Woxberg 2010-12-09 06:40:58 UTC
Add a selection in the context menu for no-lines and lines as well as different colors.

Since the post-it's are gone the addition of selectable color would be great.

The font color should automatically change to the most color with most contrast to the selected background color.

Yes, still trying to come up with a good ui in note's toolbar to set this.
Comment 2 Mårten Woxberg 2010-12-20 10:33:46 UTC
Windows 7's Sticky Notes has the colors in the right-click menu of the note.

They only have 7 colors though. It might be enough with a number of pre-set colors.

Why not add a couple of colored boxes on the context-toolbar. As you now have Checkered, Grass, etc. Have "White", "Lined", "Yellow", "Green", "Grey" for the notes?

The design issue I'm trying to solve before adding more stuff to toolbar is make toolbars more scalable for more options. I'm considering button that shows a bubble-line pane when clicked. See bug 636637 for a similar issue.

the-board is not under active development anymore and had its last code changes in early 2011. Its codebase has been archived:
https://gitlab.gnome.org/Archive/the-board/commits/master

Closing this report as WONTFIX as part of Bugzilla Housekeeping to reflect
reality. Please feel free to reopen this ticket (or rather transfer the project
to GNOME Gitlab, as GNOME Bugzilla is deprecated) if anyone takes the
responsibility for active development again.
