GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 636587
New Indian Rupee symbol is not present in gcalctool
Last modified: 2010-12-06 22:07:53 UTC
This is a duplicate of bug #684516 in Launchpad (LP: #684516). I was trying to fix this bug for the ubuntu package gcalctool, but I was told to send a patch directly to GNOME. There is a new official sign for the Indian Rupee, unicode <U+20B9>. This sign is still not present in the development version of gcalctool downloaded with git. I'll attach a patch that replaces the "Rs" string with the new sign. Please see https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gcalctool/+bug/684516 for the original bug report in Launchpad.

This problem has been fixed in the development version. The fix will be available in the next major software release. Thank you for your bug report.
