GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 635557
Attached modal windows have a title bar
Last modified: 2011-03-21 21:50:28 UTC
Since a few revisions in Git, modal dialogs have a title bar. The title bar can be clicked, which turns the pointer into a « hand », indicating that the window can be dragged around. Obviously, it can't, since the dialog is attached to its parent window. The title bar is visible on this screenshot: http://bochecha.fedorapeople.org/gnome-shell/modal_with_border.png This is with mutter from jhbuild as of today (the gnome-shell modules set).
Actually, could it be caused by this commit in gnome-themes-standard? commit 08630b716f09e4d8644a6c02bc1d0912641310f6 Author: Lapo Calamandrei <calamandrei@gmail.com> Date: Fri Nov 19 02:08:38 2010 +0100 Specific window decoration for "attached" modal dialogs.
That's a "feature" not a bug :-) I'm not sure about leaving a titlebar or not there. I need a way to show when the window is unfocused, w/o a toolbar actually there's no way to see it at a glance. Consider that a lot of part of the gnome3 mutter theme is a wip since I'm waiting for the widget theme.
With the fix for bug 638674, attached modal dialogs can now be grabbed to move the parent.
