Description Geert Janssens 2010-11-20 17:37:11 UTC
The business dialogs have field to select
* Vendors/Customers (for example in the New Bill/Invoice dialogs, Process Payment dialog,...)
* Bills/Invoices (for example in the Process Payment dialog,...)
* Jobs (for example in the New Bill dialog)
* Employees
* ....

In 2.2.x these fields could only be set by clicking on the Select... button and then using the search features. In 2.4 you can simply type this information in the text field before the Select... button. The text field has (partial) auto completion for this.

So for the 2.4 documentation, I think typing the business object in the text field should be explained as the normal case and Select... should be considered an expanded means to find your object.

This info should be updated in several sections related to business, like guide - section 12.6.1, and further.
