GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 635024
Rhythmbox Unable to Play Music from daap share that requires password
Last modified: 2010-11-16 22:40:53 UTC
In Ubuntu 10.10 Rhythmbox 0.13.1 is unable to connect to a daap share that requires a password. The daap server appears in the left hand pane, but when you click to open it you are never get a box asking you to enter the password. This also occurred with Rhythmbox 0.12.8 in Ubuntu 10.04. Banshee is able to connect to the daap share with the password fine. If the password is removed from the daap server Rhythmbox is able to connect and play the tracks ok. This has previously been reported at Launchpad with full details at: Bug #614294 Rhythmbox Unable to Play Music from daap share that requires password https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/rhythmbox/+bug/614294 Submitted 6th August 2010 This was then marked as a duplicate of bug: Bug #230583 connecting to daap share fails to ask for required password https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/rhythmbox/+bug/230583 Submitted 15th May 2008
