Description lauragwd 2010-10-28 15:00:46 UTC
Hello,

I have a Huawei e220 modem which works just fine under Ubuntu 10.10 (Good work by the way) - The only problem is that even if I have saved the PIN code in the connection configuration, the dialog for the pin code shows up. In the background it connects correctly and if I type in the PIN again it fails anyway.

It would be great if this can be fixed, because it is a bit annoying when all the time you start your computer this window shows up.

I can confirm this bug.
Please check https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager/+bug/704123 for more details.
Comment 2 Federico Bruni 2011-08-25 15:00:11 UTC
I can confirm it as well.

But I can see that it's still in UNCONFIRMED status (since 10 months).
What can we do to get it confirmed and help developers to fix it?

Thanks!

I can confirm it too. I have posted a fix here: https://code.launchpad.net/~anders-feder/network-manager-applet/bug-704123/+merge/74964

This bugreport deals with that unlock-dialog in connection with an automatic connection, that has the PIN stored, anyway.

I find the Unlock dialog unnecessary and annoying, anyway, even when my connection is not set to automatic, as I do not always need the internet.

I'd appreciate if I could just disable the initial unlock-dialog once and for all on my machine, even regardless if I have any connection set up with or without the pin stored there.
