Confirming. I can reproduce it too with OpenChange revision 2158 (I'll try update it to the latest and will see). One should have a contact in the Global list which will be resolved on sending which has umlauts in the email's display name.

The openchangeclient from revision 2230 of openchange svn trunk also fails with the same MAPI_E_CALL_FAILED, like ema, thus I'm moving this upstream as:

Has been fixed in Openchange revision 2232.
