Description Greg Auger 2010-10-17 07:22:59 UTC
A "regression" in Banshee (noticed in 1.8.0):

I want to listen to my Unheard music tracks, but don't want to start at the top of the playlist (in this case they are Christmas songs). So I click half way down the list to start playing from there. However as soon as I click the song it disappears from the Unheard playlist. This means that when the song comes to an end Banshee starts playing from the top of the Unheard playlist, not from the song after the one it was just playing. (In my case it starts playing the Christmas songs!)

Thanks for the report. It sounds like the root of the cause is that Banshee marks a song as 'played' as soon as it starts, instead of when it finishes, which breaks up the flow of the playlist. In that case, this bug is actually an extra-annoying symptom of Bug 621222, so I'm going to mark it as a duplicate.

If turning off gapless playback in Edit > Preferences doesn't fix the problem, feel free to reopen this report.

Thank you very much, I have disabled Gapless mode - I didn't need it anyway.
