This seems to happen semi-randomly (I can't reproduce it at will, but it happened twice in 5 minutes). Try rendering, changing the settings, loading a project, etc. When this happens, it borks up the UI (you can't close dialogs, etc.).

I'll mark this obsolete now that Brandon's new render dialog has been merged to master. Too much stuff has changed, and I haven't run into this bug so far while using the new dialog.
