This was reported downstream some time ago:

The problem can be easily reproducible, simply open epiphany and click on print preview, evince-previewer window will be opened, if you try to print from it, nothing will be printed.

This looks like an evince-previewer since it will fail in the same way if trying to open and print a pdf file with evince-previewer

Our reporter thinks it could be a permissions problem, but I am not sure :-(

I can reproduce it with 2.30.3 (I got Permission denied).  Not an issue in newer versions.  The bug in downstream was closed as obsolete.
