Description Pedro Villavicencio 2010-08-27 16:43:08 UTC
this report has been filed here:

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/brasero/+bug/624642

"When i insert a rewritable media and want to blank it with fast erase checked, the process start, but in a few seconds appear the popup of ended erasure, but brasero don't eject the DVD, and if I open it manually, the DVD-RW is missed.
When after that the popup appear i launch top from terminal and I can see that growisofs still working, and go on for about more than 10 min (with fast erase checked), and the strange things is that in this times the burner seems without activities.

Step to reproduce:
- Insert a DVD-RW in the drive
- Lauch Brasero from Applications - sounds and video
-Click Tools and click Blank
-Check Fast blanking and click on Blank
-Wait that the popup of ended blanking appear
-launch top in a terminal and verify that growisofs is in execution.
-Wait till growisofs end his process to not damage the media."

This affects me as well. I have tried from my inbuilt DVD writer and an external USB writer to the same result as described above.

Ubuntu Lucid, 64bit

I have destroyed 3 DVD's already, but will send a log with another run if required?
