Description rejaine 2010-08-27 11:49:07 UTC
Sometimes, the file *ibex.index* size grows to fill all available disk space.

I.e. If the free disk space is 65GB, the file will grow to that size, occupying all the free space.

This has already occurred twice, in different days and with different users:

Sample corrupted files:
 - .#..ibex.index.data (user1)
 - .#Folder1.ibex.index.data (user2)

When this occurs, I have to close the evolution, remove these files and everything back to normal.

I'm using:

- OpenSuse 11.2
- Accounts uses Maildir format
- Users HOME are mounted from a NFS filesystem
- Exported filesystem (/home/) are a XFS fylesystem

Any tips?

GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org.
As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org
which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately
quite limited so not every ticket can get handled).

If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent
and supported software version, then please follow
  https://wiki.gnome.org/Community/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines
and create a new bug report ticket at
  https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/evolution/-/issues/

Thank you for your understanding and your help.
