GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 625950
Remove "Ubuntu servers" from irc channel list
Last modified: 2010-08-04 10:35:22 UTC
While Creating a New irc Account , we are presented with a huge channel list to choose from. Among them we have freenode and Ubuntu Servers listed there. Both of them are the same . Its just a duplication and makes the list unnecessarily longer with no benefit. Every reference to irc chat and official help for Ubuntu refers only to freenode network[1,2,3]. So does every other channel on freenode, they only refers to freenode network and not the Ubuntu servers. It would be better to remove the "Ubuntu servers" from the list, to avoid duplication and confusion. Thansk, I merged the patch to master. This problem has been fixed in the development version. The fix will be available in the next major software release. Thank you for your bug report.
